Reflections on Infinity’s 10 Years

Reflections on Infinity’s 10 Years

By: Kerrie Murphy | 10/12/2013

I am so very proud of how far Infinity Pilates Studio has come in the first 10 years of business. All would not have been possible without the timeless support and drive from my partner, Tony. I thank him for believing in me and for believing in my dream.

Ten years down the track and we have moved forwards in leaps and bounds; from a few pieces of equipment when I first started, to a studio bursting with many pieces to work on; from being a sole Instructor to being surrounded by staff who are passionate about the work and believe in what we do here at Infinity, sharing their passion and commitment and delivering the highest quality of Pilates Instruction.

Education has always been high on the priority list here at Infinity – the first to be on board and part of the Government accredited course with Pilates International Training Centre, completing Diploma and Advanced Diploma certification, with all the staff following suit.

I have been privileged to have spent time in New York City – the roots of Mr Pilates – training with the generations that followed his footsteps, with the likes of Deborah Lessen and Blossom Leilani Crawford. It is always a delight to spend time catching up with Rael Isacowitz  keeping up to date with ‘Body Arts and Science International’ in California – all of which enriches me with greater understanding of the body of work and in turn, is reflected in my teachings here at Infinity.

I have the opportunity now to share this knowledge with fellow Instructors and students of the Pilates Method through workshops and Pilates teacher training. This is very rewarding – not only does it reinforce my own understanding but I learn so much from them too.

I am fortunate to work with such great people from all walks of life who have a drive to improve their wellbeing through the Pilates Method. It brings me much joy and satisfaction. Everyday has its’ challenges and rewards for all of us!

Looking forward to moving forward, learning, sharing and enjoying the next ten years at Infinity Pilates Studio!

Thank You.

Kerrie.
