Carolyn Howard’s friendship with Infinity Pilates founder, Kerrie Murphy, has spanned 33 years and spawned a deep professional bond that has benefited thousands.
Sydney-born but Canberra-raised, Carolyn’s and Kerrie’s families had mutual connections through siblings.
Kerrie herself introduced Carolyn to the philosophy behind Pilates. In some ways their Pilates journeys run in parallel.
Travelling to Tasmania in 1997, she renewed her acquaintanceship with the Pilates movement. A lifelong runner, a chronic knee injury and a doctor’s advice to stop running galvanised her to find another solution. Pilates was the answer, to the extent that she became one of the early students in its newly established Pilates training facility.
Pilates being so new in the state, she would fly to Melbourne to gain qualification hours at Infinity Pilates Studio.
